happy friday friends!

The latest issue of Lonny magazine is live today!  I'm really excited to dive into their special holiday issue.  I've just glanced at it quickly this afternoon and not only is there a cool feature on Miles Redd, but EIC Michelle Adams picked my favorite Elliott Puckette print (the one I hope to have hanging on my wall sometime soon) in the "We Went Mad For..." feature.  I've been going mad for Elliott Puckette's artwork for a few years now and have had the print bookmarked on my laptop ever since it appeared in the September 2009 issue of Vogue.

Anyhoo, I'm rambling.  Happy Friday!

book worm

I have bookcases on the brain.  I bought a new Lack Bookcase from Ikea this weekend and have been working on styling it along with the smaller one in my bedroom.  These are just a few of the photos inspiring my evening work these days.

chevron herringbone

Some day, I would love to have a home with chevron herringbone wood floors.  They catch my eye every time I come across a photo (fashion or home related) and I immediately save the photo in my inspiration folder. I thought I'd share my favorites today.  Enjoy!

d'oh! how could i forget?

I feel like such a scatterbrain right now.  I forgot to post the most exciting piece of online design news  this summer.   domino magazine lives on!  That's right, Brides.com has acquired the rights to re-print the domino archives online.

You might want to bookmark this link and check back from time to time as they add content regularly. Be sure to check out Tori Mellott's 450 sq. foot Manhattan pad (one of my all-time favorite features) and Miles Redd's 10 ideas for high-impact decorating.

If you never had the opportunity to subscribe to domino, their Book of Decorating is a wonderful resource that features many of the photos and advice from the magazine.  I highly recommend adding it to your library.  Here's the link to buy it on Amazon:
